Ornamental Cherry Tree 'Double Flowering Weeping Higan Cherry Tree'

Prunus subhirtella, or Higan cherry, is a naturally occurring hybrid native to Japan. Though rarely sold, their cultivars, the Pendula and Autumnalis, are commonly sold under this name. Known to bloom single or double pink/white blooms in spring and considered to be semi-disease resistant.
The Pendula cherry tree, now listed as Prunus Pendula, is a gorgeous, deciduous tree with a broad crown made of long, graceful weeping branches. Drooping clusters of 3-4 flower blooms decorate their branches prior to foliage in mid-spring.
