Wisteria Macrostachya ‘Aunt Dee’ - Kentucky Wisteria is Native to part of North America . It is a good alternative to Asian wisteria that have become invasive in some areas. This species produces hanging clusters of purple flowers in early to midsummer. Tightly pack flower clusters typically reach 8 to 12 inches long.The bright-green, lance-shaped leaves of Kentucky wisteria are in a pinnately compound structure with eight to ten leaflets. The formation of 3 to 5 inch (8-13 cm.) long, slightly twisted, bean-like, olive-green seed pods begin in late summer.
