The Cornus alba 'Sibirica' - Red twig dogwoods are a rapid-growing, suckering, deciduous flowering shrub that is native to North America. When this shrub is still young and the stems are newly formed, they look a golden orange that mature to a fiery red in the fall. Decorated in medium sized leaves with and oval shape that turn from a dark green in the summer, to reddish-orange for the fall and purple in the winter. During the spring time this shrub produces small, creamy white flower clusters attracting all sorts of pollinators from butterflies to bees. In the summer these flowers turn into small blue-tinged white berries that attract wildlife such as birds. Be it any time of the year this shrub will sure bring some form of color to your landscape.
