Popular for its heavy yielding, large, sweet fruit and versatility, the Honeoye is a junebearing variety that produces early and well through the season. It is winter hardy and the fruit tends to hold its flavor well as long as it is picked before ripening.

Strawberry plants make an excellent addition to the home garden. The attractive plants can be grown as a groundcover or landscape ornamental, or in a traditional bed. Strawberries need full sun to produce the best crop, but you can get a harvestable crop with as little as 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Increasing the amount of sunlight that your strawberries receive will result in more and better quality berries.
