Quercus muehlenbergii - Chinkapin Oak features simple, oblong leaves that are dark yellowish green, coarsely-toothed, and about 4-6.5” in length. They color beautifully in the fall, from yellow to orangey to brown. Its acorns, approximately 1” and rounded, mature in the first year.

 

Full sun to partial sun.

Native to North America

Drought tolerant once established.
