Opuntia microdasys -  Bunny ear cactus, angel's wings cactus, polka dot cactus is a popular houseplant that is low maintenance. The thick pads of this plant are adorned with fuzzy glochids, or short bristles, that resemble the fur of rabbits and grow in earlike pairs. These still have the ability to bite, so caution is urged when handling the cactus.

Full sun to partial sun.

Attracts bees and butterflies.

Drought tolerant once established.

Yellow / Peach flowers, non-fragrant

Characteristics: Stems segments are oval with numerous glochids in the areoles that look cottony but contain numerous thin spines.

Water & Soil: Good drainage, dry.

Use cactus soil or well draining soil with perlite or sand for additional drainage.

Ensure the pot has drainage holes as succulents cannot tolerate standing water.

Allow soil to completely dry before watering.

**Although these plant are not toxic to animals, they do cause mild irritation due to their small, loosely attached bristles.**
