The Buxus Microphylla var. Japonica Japanese Boxwood is broadleaf evergreen shrub native to Japan and Taiwan, also commonly called 'little leaf box'. This slow growing boxwood is adorned with simple, green, obovate leaves that grow in an opposite arrangement style. This little shrub is not only an all season evergreen that never loses its color but also flowers in spring time with small creamy-green blooms that are semi-fragrant and attract pollinators. When grown in full sun, the green leaves are susceptible to sunburn and can turn from green to red.

Allow minimum 3'-4' between specimens.

Can be planted in a container

Full sun to partial sun.

Drought tolerant once established.
