The Prunus persica ‘Florida King’ - 'Florida King' Peach was specifically designed for regions with mild winters by the University of Florida. As typically peaches need a total of 800-900 chill hours under 45°F during winter to be able to produce fruit, this variety only needs 150hrs. Featuring dark green leaves with blooms of pinkish-lavender flowers appearing in early spring. Followed by medium to large size fruit with firm yet melting, sweet, juicy flesh and red blushed skin ripening from late May to early June.
