Acer Palmatum - Bloodgood Japanese Maple are one of the more popular variety of the red Japanese maples . They are extremely easy to care for, and their distinctive red foliage makes these trees the ultimate in outdoor decorative beauty.

The Bloodgood is ideal as a focal point or accent plant in your landscape, or as a property divider for any residential landscape. They are known for their ability to retain color throughout the seasons. This Japanese maple tree's foliage has a deep burgundy hue throughout the spring and well into the summer months that transitions to an eye-catching bright-red tone during the winter months. It’s bark is silver in color and also provides a lovely visual.

Full sun to partial sun.

Drought tolerant once established.

Our Japanese Maple that ship in a 3" Pot are known as ABP Pots and are taller than they are wide, promoting good root systems for our younger Japanese Maple Trees.

Allow 15-20' during planting from any structures for mature growth.

Adaptable to various soil types and will succeed in partial to full sunlight.

These trees are low maintenance and are naturally disease and pest resistant.

Can grow in any region as a potted variety. Height is easily maintained to any desired height with regular pruning, but is not necessary as the tree forms a naturally beautiful shape otherwise.

Best time to plant is in the fall so roots can establish when the rest of the tree is in dormancy.

Very young

The very young Bloodgood Japanese Maples looked okay when they arrived. They didnt like shipping much, a little beat up. I gave them water and set them in a shady spot. They are doing well. Putting on new leaves, and i feel they will make it.

Very quick shipping, the plants were decent sized for such a low price. Everything was in great shape upon arrival, despite it being very hot temps. I thought the shipping price was reasonable. I would definitely buy from this company again.

I found what I believe to be the perfect tree for the one side of my house, the Japanese Maple. Beautiful color and perfect size. BTW, 2 trees for the price of one. They were packaged carefully and arrived on time. They went in the ground today so, I had to order more plants from TriStar!
