Meet The Team
Owners
Allen and Vonda have had a long time calling to service and love for growing. Allen served 30 years in multiple levels of law enforcement while operating a tobacco farm, then Buds & Blooms Greenhouse, and today with Tristar Plants. Vonda was raised working her family's dairy farm which formed her tremendous work ethic. Vonda is currently the vice President of a local bank where she strives to serve her community daily.
Together they form the cornerstone of Tristar Plants where the mission is to deliver competitively priced plants online while maintaining the quality and service you'd expect from your local family garden center, to create a greener world one garden at a time."

Fun Fact: Allen made a weeping willow laugh. Vonda is a 29 time GMA award winner *greatest mother of all-time.
CEO
Growing up in the agriculture and horticulture industry, the Natural world has become a central theme for Trey. "Whether hunting & fishing or cooking on the grill I find a constant passion for connecting with the plants and animals around me." As lead at Tristar Plants Trey Strives to expand that same passion across the country.
Favorite Plant: Northern Red Oak
Fun Fact: Trey once caught the wind, put lightning in a bottle and hung the moon in a single afternoon.
Logistics
TJ, the youngest of the Selby Family was raised hand and hand with the business. TJ's experience in logistics is invaluable to Tristar, ensuring the passion and quality is delivered from our home to yours.
Favorite Plant: Triple Crown Blackberry
Fun Fact: Tj once killed two rocks with one bird.
Director of IT
Amber, digital expert at TriStar Plants. Beyond her role, she's a hands-on gardener cultivating her own vibrant garden and raising a quirky flock of miniature chickens. Weekends are reserved for outdoor pursuits, where she explores nature alongside her husband. With her deep passion for plants and practical experience, Amber is a key asset to our team.
Favorite Plant: Lavender
Fun Fact: Where a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear. Amber did.
Horticulture Specialist
Nicki has found her own slice of heaven on her homestead here in Sparta, Tn. A green thumb, devoted family member, avid reader, crochet enthusiast, and music lover, she also enjoys cooking. Nicki applies a strong work ethic and ever growing knowledge of plant care to support TriStar Plants.
Favorite Plant: Yoshino Weeping Cherry
Fun Fact: Nicki convinced morning glories to bloom at midnight
