Orostachys Iwarenge - Dunce Cap is a lavender succulent with cone-shaped rosettes. It is monocarpic, but produces offsets on the long stems that shoot out from the main rosette allowing for easy propagation. The main plant dies back following blooming but the plant spreads by basal side shoots and easily reseeds itself to ensure more plants year after year. Dunce Cap

This succulents name derives from its spires of silvery-lavender cone-shaped rosettes that emerge from their center. Their cones eventually have the possibility of flower under the right conditions. These plants are considered monocarpic meaning they live in a perpetual life and death cycle. Once the rosette blooms they will die off, luckily the plant produces numerous offsets which can be propagated into other plants and continue the cycle.
