Ginkgo Biloba, also known as the maiden hair tree is considered both a shade and ornamental tree. The Ginkgo Biloba is the last living species of the Ginkgos that date back over 270 million years. It's unique fan-shaped leaves turn a stunning golden yellow in the fall. They can tolerate harsh conditions such as heat, air pollution, salt, and confined spaces.

Ginkgo Biloba

The Ginkgo Biloba, also known as the Maidenhair Tree, is one of the oldest trees and also the only surviving of the family Ginkgo species. Dating back over 290 million years this tree is labeled a "Living Fossil" as it is very hardy having survived difficult and harsh periods like the dinosaur extinction and even nuclear radiation such as Hiroshima. The oldest living Ginkgo alive to date is the one located in Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple in the Zhongnan Mountains in China, reaching over 130' tall and over 1,500 years old.
