Vitis labrusca - Concord will produce plump sweet, juicy grapes. The fruit is medium size, purple grape with a very distinctive flavor. This grape is very good table grape, excellent for jams, jellies and for homemaking wine. The second year after planting they will produce fruit. This purplish red grape ripens mid to late September. Not only are they a rich source of vitamins A, C, B6 and folate, they contain essential minerals like potassium, calcium, and iron.

Size: Can reach a mature height of 5 - 7'ft tall and 8 - 10'ft wide spread.

Characteristics: Original variety with seeds. Very hardy, vigorous, disease resistant, and heat tolerant. Is a self-pollinating plant and will produce white blooms in May. Fruit ripens in late September to October.

Soil & Water: Grapes will grow in a wide range of soils, but do best in a deep, well drains sandy loam with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5.
