They were bare root. Definitely needed water and tlc upon arrival. Now that I see mostly green leaves I will plant outside this weekend. I knew what I was getting, as I did read the description. Just an honest assessment.

Strawberries Everbearing 'White Carolina'

10 years ago this hybridized berry made it's commercial debut, stunning tastebuds worldwide. This everbearing strawberry is also referred to as 'pineberry', due to it's similarity in both aroma and taste to a pineapple. Their appearance is so distinct, many believe they are genetically engineered, but they are actually a hybrid just like the modern garden strawberry. As the result of cross-breeding the South American strawberry, grown naturally in parts of Chile, and the North American strawberry. Its pale skin becomes Sunkissed when placed in direct sunlight, giving it a rosy tint against its red achenes(seeds).
