Mature trees are more drought-tolerant but benefit from supplemental watering during dry spells.

Select a planting location with well-drained soil and good sun exposure.
Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and at the same depth.
Gently remove the tree from its container and place it in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the ground.
Backfill with soil, tamp it down gently, and water thoroughly.
Apply a layer of mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
