The Lagerstroemia Indica x Fauriei 'Muskogee' - 'Muskogee' Crape Myrtle has the longest lasting blooms than most other Crape Myrtles. Being native to China, this deciduous shrub is hardy, heat-loving and 'Blood Red' Mildew resistant perfect from the southern United States. This shrub is a multi-stemmed, dense growing deciduous shrub decorated with dark green foliage that turn a golden yellow-orange in the fall. Clusters of showy, abundant, light lavender flowers bloom from early July to October lasting sometimes anywhere from 4 to 5 months every blooming period. Pruning any spent flowers will prolonged their flowering periods as well.

    Size: Mature size can reach up to 20'-30'ft high and 15'-20'ft wide.

    Light: Prefers full sun. (At least 6 hours of direct sunlight)

    Characteristics: This shrub grows in an upright and arching manner, blooming clusters of vibrant light lavender flowers in the spring and summer lasting for 4-5 months at a time. Attracts hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Plant your Crape Myrtle where it will receive full sun in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring before growth begins. Responds well to shaping into either a small tree or shrub.

    Growth Rate: Moderate to fast

    Soil, Water & Fertilize: Adapts to a variety of soils like loam and clay soils and is drought tolerant once roots are established. Prefers average well draining, moist soil with a pH of 5.0 - 6.5. Drought tolerant. Removing spent flowers will prolong blooming periods.

    Susceptibility: Leaf spot, aphids and powdery mildew.

    Plant Approximately 5'-6'ft apart to allow growing space for future spread.

    Abundant blooms will only occur when allowed full sun throughout the day.
