Size: Strawberries have shallow root systems. Most plants will be approximately 8 inches tall at maturity.

Light: Full Sun ( 6+ hours of direct sunlight)

Hardiness Zone: 4 - 8

Characteristics: Produces large, firm, conical fruit that is perfect for dessert due to it's high sugar content. High yield, bearing fruit throughout the summer months

Water & Soil: Moist, Well drained soil is a must; as plants are susceptible to root rot. Sandy soil is best. Add extra organic matter.

*We cannot send plants to Alaska or Hawaii.

Full sun is preferred for all varieties of strawberries, but a minimum of 6 hours is required. Most varieties will produce in a matted row, but keeping runners trimmed will increase your yield.
Well drained soil is a must; as plants are susceptible to root rot. Sandy soil is best. Add extra organic matter. You will need supplemental watering when rainfall is not sufficient. Plant as soon as the soil is dry and able to be worked - March or April for most areas.
