The Cornus Florida 'Comco No. 1' - Cherokee Brave Flowering Dogwoods are a bird lover dream tree, this dogwood will attract a host of birds. In spring this Cherokee Brave Dogwood will put out dark pink flowers with white centers that pop against its dark green foliage. Cherokee Brave Dogwoods produces red berries in fall after blooms and leaves have fallen off, providing interest all year round.

Full sun to partial sun.

Attracts birds, bees and butterflies.

Native to North America

Drought tolerant once established.

Pink flowers, non-fragrant

Surprise, surprise!

Born and raised in Ohio, I know from green. Living in the high desert of Salt Lake City, I know from extreme disappointment. I have planted 4 arctostaphylos replacements in each of the last 2 yrs and lost them all...dry cold winters, hot dry summers. Reason: poor potting. Take a 2in start, repot it into a bigger pot, sell it for twice it's value.
So, I have searched all over for an akatsuki dogwood. No one has any. So Tristar was my last resort. Expecting it to arrive a month later, I was overjoyed that it arrived in 5 days. And guess what? A real tree, with limbs and a decent root structure! Only we went from 60 to 35 and 8 in of snow. Babying that baby in the basement with south sunlight and 60deg. I know this tree will do well in a couple of weeks, once in the ground. Thanx Tristar!

Shipping was extremely fast. Came healthy enough that when I was unable to plant it right away, it survived my poor management to be planted a couple weeks later. Had some pretty decent root shock, then deer ate all its young leaves... and it STILL bounced back and is happily growing now. Thank you for such a healthy tree. I am looking forward to seeing it big and strong!
