The Sugar Giant Peach - Prunus Persica  is consistently one of the best performing white peach varieties with blooms appear in the spring. Sugar Giant is a large, firm, white peach with exceptional eating quality. Large sized peach, red blush over white skin. Firm white flesh with a mellow, sweet taste similar to honey.

Characteristics: Is a free-stone fruit. Has a chill hours (CU) requirement of 800–900. (Chill hours are the average hours of air temperature between 32° and 45° F in a typical winter season.)

Growth Rate: Moderate

Soil, Water, Fertilize: Moist and well draining soil with a pH of 5.5-7. Watering needs are normal. Normal is defined as regular watering to a depth of 18 inches, but periodically dries out in the top 7 inches between waterings. Young plants need extra phosphorus to encourage good root development. Look for a fertilizer that has phosphorus, P, in it(the second number on the bag.) Apply recommended amount for plant per label directions in the soil at time of planting or at least during the first growing season.

Trees on small side

Trees are advertised as 2 to 4 ft tall but both trees are slightly less than 2ft tall.
As with most nurseries, trees are usually shipped on small end of scale.
Trees seem healthy but may tale a few years to produce fruit.

Very small for the price

Item arrived leafed out and a little wilted. Other than that, it was on the small side, but I planted it right away and hopefully it will thrive.
