With mild, sweet flavor, a long shelf life and the Red Delicious apple can be used for a variety of purposes such as eating fresh or making desserts. Produces medium to large size fruit with ruby red skin. During the springtime, this tree blooms small white to pink flowers.
Red Delicious apples need to be cross-pollinated with another variety of apple in order for it to bear fruit. Fruit begins to ripen and is ready to harvest in September to mid-October.
